A horary reading works well if you are seeking the answer to a specific question or looking for objective insight into a particular situation. Horary astrology is excellent for questions with a clear focus and a definable outcome.
Horary is less helpful for determining what you “should” or “should not” do, especially if you haven’t yet defined the outcome you’re hoping for. In those cases, an astrology consultation or Tarot reading may be a better fit.
Examples of questions suitable for horary include:
- “Does this relationship have potential?”
- “Will we get married / have a baby?”
- “Will I get the job?” or “Will I lose my job?”
- “Should I hire this person? Will they be a good fit?”
- “Will I get into this school/program?”
- “Can I make money off of my knowledge / skill set / creative endeavor?”
- “Is buying this home a good investment?” or “Will I like living here?”
- “Should I stay or should I go?” (when there are two clear options)
- “Where is the missing object/animal/person?”
- “Will we win the game / contest / court case?”
